College Basketball Betting | Early Odds, Predictions for 2020 National Championship

The college basketball season is right around the corner, and there are many different future bets to make. The usual suspects are among the favorites to win the national championship, but even picking a blueblood to win it all doesn’t always work out. There are some available bets that will pay off easier, and that has to do with picking the winners of each conference. While there are multiple teams generally involved in conference races, the best teams in the nation will have a good chance of claiming their conference titles heading into March Madness.

Here is a look at the conference future odds in college basketball.

ACC Conference Odds

The ACC is the best conference in the country, featuring teams such as Duke, Louisville, North Carolina and Virginia. All of them could conceivably be in the national championship conversation and it will be fun to see who comes away with the conference crown. Duke is listed as the slight favorite at +281 odds, followed by Louisville at +296 and Virginia and North Carolina at +392 apiece. Florida State is hanging around as a darkhorse at +1315 odds but this looks to be a four-team race.

Big 12 Conference Odds

The Big 12 is expected to come down to Kansas, Baylor and Texas Tech. The Jayhawks’ impressive conference title streak came to an end last year and they are looking to get back on top. Kansas is listed as the +212 favorite, with Baylor coming in at +328 and Texas Tech at +379. Oklahoma is on the periphery at +763 odds to win the Big 12.

Big East Conference Odds

There are four teams expected to be in contention in the Big East, with one team in particular the favorite. Villanova comes in at +188 odds and hopes to live up to the hype. Marquette has +430 odds behind superstar point guard Markus Howard, while Xavier is at +456 and Seton Hall comes in at +487.

Big Ten Conference Odds

Michigan State has been pegged as the clear favorite in the Big Ten, with odds set at +143. Purdue should be in the mix with +471 odds, followed by Maryland at +643 odds and Ohio State at +678 odds. Michigan is an intriguing darkhorse at +839 odds.

PAC-12 Conference Odds

The Pac-12 has several different teams that should be in the mix. Oregon is listed as the favorite at +265, followed by Arizona at +345. Washington is listed at +485 and Colorado is at +490, while USC could also be in the mix with +900 odds.

SEC Conference Odds

In the SEC, it is not a surprise to see Kentucky as the team to beat. The Wildcats are listed at +148 odds, followed by Florida at +366. Tennessee seems like the only other viable contender with +786 odds. Auburn is a team that hopes to be in the mix, but with +1008 odds, that seems like a longshot.

Prediction

Our Pick: Kentucky Wildcats to win the SEC at +148 odds

Kentucky is one of the biggest favorites to win its conference, but it is not an odds-on favorite, so this is still a good value. The Wildcats again have a load of talent coming in, and while sometimes it takes a few weeks for everything to jell, this group should be rolling by the time conference play comes.

The SEC is not very strong, as Florida is the only team that seems likely to put a scare into Kentucky. The Wildcats have long been the class of the conference and look for them to pick up another SEC crown in the 2019-20 season. This is the best wager among all of the college basketball conference future options.
