Monday night’s game 4 is do or die for the Montreal Canadiens, following a poor performance in front of a small home crowd in Game 3. The Lightning handled the Habs easily and took a 3-0 lead in the series, making them one game away from back-to-back Stanley Cup titles.
At this point, it’s more of a question of when the Tampa Bay Lightning will win the Cup, not if. Still, I’m sure the Canadiens would love nothing more than to give a home win to a starving fanbase that hasn’t won a Cup since the mid-90s.
So, let’s take a look at the Stanley cup Final Game 4 odds to see if the Canadiens can make a series out of this or if the Lightning are going to cruise to a second straight hoisting of the Stanley Cup.

Tampa Bay Lightning So Far…
It was more of the same from the Tampa Bay Lightning in Game 3, a game they controlled from the very beginning, scoring 1:52 into the game. Tyler Johnson led the way with two points on two goals, while Nikita Kucherov was up to his old tricks, tallying a goal and an assist in the win.
The Tampa Bay offense has had its way with the Canadiens. It doesn’t matter that Carey Price was standing on his head this playoffs before they met up with the Lightning as Tampa Bay is scoring more than four goals a game in this Stanley Cup Final.
All Tampa Bay needs to do is continue to keep the pressure on the Canadiens and Carey Price and they’ll have their back-to-back Stanley Cup come Monday night.
Montreal Canadiens So Far…
I’m quite positive the Canadiens will come out on fire in Game 4, looking to give the few Montreal fans in attendance a reason to cheer. Much has been made about the Canadian government’s decision to limit fan attendance for this series, but it’s not going to change in the next few days, so it’s something they’ll have to deal with.
The goal production was there in Game 3, they just couldn’t slow the Tampa Bay attack and it caused them to play catch up for the entirety of their time on the ice. I believe a fast start in Game 4 is paramount. If they can score first and hold a lead for a bit, they may be able to extend this series and get a win.
Lightning vs Montreal Canadiens Game 4 Prediction
Our pick: Montreal Canadiens +138
It’s no longer a matter of if the Lightning wins the Stanley Cup this year, it’s just in how many games. We just have to believe that the Habs have it in them to win at least one, especially with their backs up against the wall. The Lightning also might not mind losing game 4 so that they can clinch at home.
