Sports Betting: What To Bet On This Week (June 29-July 5)

A second-wave of COVID-19 infections hasn’t deterred the sports world from trying to get back up and operating. Baseball is coming back with MLB announcing a 60-game schedule to start in late July and the NBA released game matchups for its restart on July 30. With those announcements we also saw updated futures hit the board at online sportsbooks. But until those games actually begin there are plenty of wagering opportunities out there. Soccer has done everyone a solid with leagues around the world putting players back to work. The PGA Tour holds its fourth tournament since rebooting and baseball is being played in Japan and South Korea. Esports and simulated games have been constants on the landscape and there are plenty of both on this week’s betting schedule. Here are some of the numerous wagering options available at online sportsbooks this week.

Soccer

Major League Soccer will soon get back on the pitch joining a number of top European leagues that are currently in action. Serie A was the most recent to restart with Italy’s top clubs playing 10 matches from Tuesday through Thursday. First place Juventus takes on Genoa in one of two matches slated for Tuesday. Last week Liverpool clinched its first Premier League title in 30 years and returns to the pitch on Thursday against Man City to conclude an eight-game EPL work week.

At least one La Liga match will be played every day this week with a total of 12 on the betting docket. Real Sociedad and Getafe kick things off on Monday. Real Madrid and Barcelona enter the week separated by just two points at the top of the standings. Barcelona takes on Atletico Madrid on Tuesday with Real Madrid and Getafe squaring off Thursday. Germany’s Bundesliga was the first major European league to restart and thus the first to complete its season with Bayern Munich winning the crown. Other top leagues from around the globe are also in action. Check out schedules and odds for all upcoming matches at BookMaker.eu.

Esports

While there continues to be a lull in sports, competitive gamers are always at it with online sportsbooks releasing odds for esports games and tournaments. Soccer returned to the field in a number of countries, but the virtual pitch is loaded with battles in the Champions League and Liga Pro. Counter Strike: Global Offensive is one of the most popular games to play and wager on with several leagues competing this week. ESEA MDL Season 34, Loot.bet, Winners League and CS_Summit are just a few. Gamers are also competing this week in DOTA 2, Overwatch, League of Legends and Call of Duty. Check out the complete esports schedule and odds at BookMaker.eu when you’re ready to make a wager.

Sports Sims

BookMaker.eu has a wide variety of betting options for simulated sports. There’s always something going on with games and tournaments using Madden NFL 20, NBA 2K20, MLB The Show 20 and NHL 20 taking place all week. Visit BookMaker.eu for a schedule and to place your bet, then go to Twitch.tv to watch the games.

Baseball

There will be a Major League Baseball season, albeit an abbreviated one. Until the boys of summer return to the diamond in late July, you can sharpen your baseball wagering skills with the Korean Baseball Organization and Japan’s Nippon Professional Baseball. Both leagues return to a full slate of games starting Tuesday. First place NC Dinos start the week against the Lotte Giants looking to build on their slim KBO lead over Kiwoom Heroes. As they’ve done from the start ESPN will air four games during the week starting with Tuesday’s encounter between Kiwoom and Doosan Bears. Betting lines and odds for this week’s games are available at BookMaker.eu.

Golf

Things got a little dicey on the PGA Tour last week with a few players withdrawing due to the coronavirus. Adhering to strict protocols established by the Tour, those remaining forged ahead with Dustin Johnson holding on for a one-shot victory. This week the Tour heads to Michigan with another stellar cast taking on the Detroit Golf Club layout in the second playing of the Rocket Mortgage Classic. Nate Lashley took home the hardware last year going wire-to-wire for a six-shot victory. First round action gets underway on Thursday. Visit BookMaker.eu to check out the latest tournament and matchup odds and to place your wager.

Boxing

Top Rank continues its summer boxing series on ESPN with a pair of events this week from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. A junior welterweight bout between Alex Saucedo (29-1) and Sonny Fredrickson serves as the main event of Tuesday’s six-fight card. Saucedo is fighting for the second time since getting knocked out by Maurice Hooker in a November 2018 title clash.

We get another chance to see junior welterweights Jose Pedraza (26-8) and Mikkel LesPierre (22-1-1) go at it. The two were scheduled to fight on June 18 before a member of LesPierre’s team tested positive for COVID-19. The duel headlines six fights set for Thursday. Everything you need to place a wager on these fights is available at BookMaker.eu.

Futures

With MLB making a return to the diamond next month, updated futures odds surfaced at online sportsbooks. Not a lot has changed with the Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees atop the World Series odds chart. A 60-game schedule will make for some wild happenings so why not back your favorite club. BookMaker.eu has a comprehensive list of futures odds available when you’re ready to throw down.
