NBA Parlay Picks for Sunday, April 9

The NBA regular season comes to an end on Sunday, April 9 giving us one final opportunity to cash a winning parlay ticket. And there are plenty of wagering options available with all 30 teams competing. There will also be playoff and play-in positioning at stake for several clubs so don’t expect any of them to tiptoe through the finale. There is no question where Milwaukee Bucks will finish since they clinched the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference and the NBA’s best record with a win over the Bulls on Wednesday night. What makes Sunday’s matchup with Toronto so intriguing is that Mike Budenholzer will likely rest some of his regulars. But the Bucks clinched without having Giannis Antetokounmpo and losing Khris Middleton early making Toronto’s bid to move up the play-in ladder more difficult.

My last NBA parlay for this outlet was over a week ago and I came within an eyelash of a four-team winner. I double dipped in a game between Milwaukee and Indiana backing the OVER and the Pacers at +12.5. Jrue Holiday went off for 51 points in Milwaukee’s 149-136 victory. The OVER was never in doubt, but doing the math shows I lost by half a point, ouch. That made the outcome of the other two wagers meaningless and adding insult to injury they both won. Those near-misses happen and only makes me poised to cash a winning ticket on my NBA parlay picks.

Milwaukee Bucks at Toronto Raptors

One thing that makes the Bucks so good is their depth. They’ve dealt with quite a few injuries this season and still won more than 50 games for the fourth time in five seasons while leading the entire Association in victories. They clinched with a win over Chicago playing without Giannis, Pat Connaughton and Grayson Allen with Middleton exiting in the first quarter after going scoreless. Bobby Portis, Brook Lopez and Holiday all reached the 20-point mark picking up the scoring slack. The Bucks are also one of the better defensive teams with a rating of 111.4 the fourth-best. And they’ve been good without their two-time MVP in the lineup going 11-6 with Wednesday’s triumph. The Raps are locked into the play-in tournament and can finish higher than their current seed of No. 9 giving them reason to fight to the end. However, the Bucks have had their number winning all three meetings while going 2-0-1 ATS. And I like for them to continue their dominance in this contest.

NBA Parlay Pick: Milwaukee ATS

Utah Jazz at Los Angeles Lakers

I’m not so sure about the Lakers but I do know the Jazz are beat up and played themselves out of a postseason spot by losing seven of eight games, the last of that stretch against the Lakers, 135-133, on Tuesday. Utah hung around in most of them with five payouts in the last six games of that run, but they were unable to clear the hurdle. And with their play-in hopes dashed they’re playing out the string with a makeshift lineup. Also, they’ll be playing the second game of a back to back after tangling with Denver on Saturday. The Lakers could climb into a top six in the West if they take care of business and get some help. A loss to the Clippers on Wednesday ended a four-game winning streak and a stretch of seven wins in eight games. Still, LA is trending in the right direction while the Jazz are floundering. If any team in need of a win caught a break on the Sunday schedule it’s the Lakers, and I’m betting they take advantage of their opportunity.

NBA Parlay Pick: LA Lakers ATS

San Antonio Spurs at Dallas Mavericks

Being the final day of the regular season I’m going all out with a four-wager parlay. Same game parlays are becoming popular at sportsbooks and this would count, but I’m going to add it to my other wagers with a huge payout if my bets hit. The way these teams have played against each other this season makes me want to back the OVER. Each team scored at least 116 points and they averaged 258 points in three previous meetings. They’re not known for their defense with the Spurs the worst in the league surrendering an average of 122 points and the Mavs have a bit more firepower with Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving lighting it up. They cashed the OVER in five straight games and with the Mavs needing a win for their postseason future they should handle the lowly Spurs.

NBA Parlay Pick: Dallas ATS / OVER
