College Basketball Betting – Saturday Parlay Picks

Proving my point that you can find value in mid-major conferences when betting on college basketball, I went 2-2 on last Saturday’s picks with San Jose State and Long Beach State getting me Ws. I crapped out on the other games, though, featuring matchups from the SEC and Big 12. With only a few more weeks of regular season college hoops action remaining I’ll do my best to secure better results on Saturday with a huge selection of DI hoops games to choose from for my Feb. 18 college basketball parlay picks.

There are some great games on the schedule highlighted by a Big Ten matchup between No. 3 Purdue and Maryland. The Boilermakers hit the court for the first time since a stunning upset loss to Northwestern that knocked them from the top of the national rankings. The teams met less than a month ago with Purdue notching a 58-55 win though they failed to cover as a 9-point favorite. You can bet college basketball parlays at Bookmaker.eu with odds for every game on the Saturday schedule.

Purdue Boilermakers at Maryland Terrapins

Since I mentioned this matchup already I better find a spot for it in this section. It’s hard to win every game, but the Boilers had been doing a good job up until over a week ago. Maybe we should’ve seen this coming with their success in close games hiding the fact that they aren’t as good as the No. 1 ranking. Don’t get me wrong, Purdue is an outstanding outfit leading the Big Ten with only a handful of games left in the regular season. They did pick a bad time to slump, though, and the Terps are looking for revenge. The loss to Northwestern was Purdue’s second in three games following a nine-game winning streak. They knocked off Maryland 58-55 at home during the recent streak holding Terps leading scorer Jahmir Young, who averages 16.2 points, to just 10 points on 4 of 18 shooting. The Terps are a solid home bet going 13-1 SU and 10-4 ATS in their gym and I like them in this matchup.

CBB Parlay Pick: Maryland ATS

Gonzaga Bulldogs at LMU Lions

People around the LA area haven’t been this excited about LMU basketball since the Bo Kimble-Hank Gathers days. It’s not that the Lions are setting records or leading the West Coast conference, but they’ve already accomplished something few teams have over the past decades. LMU ended Gonzaga’s 75-game homecourt winning streak and a 25-game losing skid to the Zags with a monumental 68-67 upset as a 16.5-point dog back on Jan. 19. Just over two weeks later the Lions handed St. Mary’s its first WCC loss, 78-74, in OT. In between those wins LMU lost to BYU and San Diego and most recently fell at Santa Clara dropping to 7-6 in league play. The Zags won’t take LMU lightly after what happened last month and I expect second leading scorer Julian Strawther to contribute more than the six points he scored in the first go-round. That will be enough to allow the Zags payback.

CBB Parlay Pick: Gonzaga ATS

Northern Arizona Lumberjacks at Eastern Washington Eagles

Since I had success on my mid-major picks last week I figured what the hell, let’s try it again. One game that caught my eye is the Big Sky matchup between first-place Eastern Washington and Northern Arizona in a battle of directional schools. The Eagles are perfect in conference games and have won 15 straight overall going 10-3-1 ATS. A 130-54 win over Northwest Indian College in December didn’t have a line. One of EWU’s closest games during the streak was against the ‘Jacks last month, a 79-76 win as a 4.5-point favorite. The line will be substantial and given the last outing I’ll stay away from that. But I do have confidence backing the OVER with both teams adept at scoring the basketball. EWU leads the Big Sky averaging 77 points while NAU is fifth with 72.3 points. Four Eagles average more than 10 points led by Steele Venters at 15.1. And they can shoot knocking down 49 percent of their field goals. NAU’s Jalen Cone is the fifth leading scorer in the Big Sky averaging 17.1 points. And both sides sacrifice on the defensive end in order to score a lot.
