NHL Stanley Cup Odds

The first couple of days of the Stanley Cup Playoffs in 2022 has been nothing but excitement. The first round is potentially going to be a treat and we may even be in for a couple of upsets. That is the nature of the way the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs work.

All 16 teams feel like they have a shot for now until someone digs themselves into a hole that they can’t climb out of. The Stanley cup odds are out, but it is also important to see what the series and other future holds look like. What are some of the future odds for the Stanley Cup title in 2022?

Stanley Cup Winning Conference

East -125

The Eastern Conference has the best odds for a team to win the Stanley Cup title. Let’s be real about this. Any of the eight teams that are in this conference have a legitimate chance to win it all. When the Washington Capitals and the Pittsburgh Penguins are the eighth and seventh seeds in the conference, then you know the talent is elite and deep.

The Florida Panthers and the Carolina Hurricanes are the top two teams in this conference. Let’s also not forget about the back-to-back Stanley Cup Champions in the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The New York Rangers, the Toronto Maple Leafs, and the Boston Bruins also want to prove themselves as well. It would be a surprise if an Eastern Conference team didn’t want the 2022 Stanley Cup title.

West -105

The Western Conference doesn’t feel as strong as the Eastern Conference. The Colorado Avalanche and the Calgary Flames feel like the top contenders. However, don’t sleep on the St. Louis Blues because they are a dark horse. The Minnesota Wild has a chance also.

The Edmonton Oilers, the Los Angeles Kings, the Dallas Stars, and the Nashville Predators feel like afterthoughts in this conference.

Stanley Cup Winning Division

Atlantic Division +175

The Atlantic Division is the favorite to win it all because of the Florida Panthers, who happened to win the Presidents’ Trophy. However, we all know how that ends. The Toronto Maple Leafs, the Tampa Bay Lightning, and the Boston Bruins are also in this division.

Central Division +200

The Central Division is the second favorite to win it all because of the Colorado Avalanche. However, their biggest threat could potentially be the St. Louis Blues . The Minnesota Wild, the Dallas Stars, and the Nashville Predators also made it to the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs in this division.

Pacific Division +375

The Pacific Division is the third favorite to win it all because of the Calgary Flames. However, they just have the Edmonton Oilers and the Los Angeles Kings in this division representing them in the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Metropolitan Division +450

The Metropolitan Division is surprisingly the least favorite division to win the 2022 NHL Stanley Cup. They have the Carolina Hurricanes, the New York Rangers, the Pittsburgh Penguins, and the Washington Capitals. All of those NHL teams feature experience except for New York.

Stanley Cup Winning Country

United States -550

The United States has kept the Stanley Cup within the country since 1993. They have 13 American teams in the 2022 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs. The three most likely American teams to win it all are the Colorado Avalanche, the Carolina Hurricanes, and the Florida Panthers.

Keep an eye on the St. Louis Blues and the New York Rangers. The Tampa Bay Lightning, the Washington Capitals, and the Pittsburgh Penguins have won it all before, but the Minnesota Wild could be a dark horse though.

Canada +375

The Canadian teams have not won the Stanley Cup title since the 1993 year when the Montreal Canadiens won the NHL Stanley Cup title. Only the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Calgary Flames, and the Edmonton Oilers are in the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs this year from that country and I don’t see any of them hosting the Stanley Cup in 2022 though here.
