Masters Tournament Odds Update: Tiger Woods off the board

Ahead of the season’s final opportunity to qualify for the 2017 Masters, BookMaker.eu has adjusted odds to win golf’s most prestigious major. Odds have been on the wagering board all season, and some players’ odds have moved drastically.

Let’s take a look at a few players’ golf odds that have moved the most.

Tiger Woods Odds:

12/31/16: +2750
1/31/17: +3300
3/13/17: +7000
Current: +12550

The real story here is if Woods will even tee it up. My guess is he doesn’t. The last time he played was on the European Tour in Dubai and he withdrew after the first round citing back issues. Watching Woods play is painful to watch. He can barely walk let alone hit the ball. Don’t waste your time on the former No. 1 player in the world. He’s not going to play. UPDATE: Woods withdrew from the tournament.

Jon Rahm Odds:

12/31/16: +7000
1/31/17: +3500
Current: +2050

The savvy gamer got Rahm at +7000 before he went on his run. The former Arizona State star is already one of the best players in the world. In 22 starts, he’s already ranked No. 20 in the world. But before you get all fired up on Rahm, who is making his first trip to Augusta, the last player to win on his first trip to the Masters was all the way back in 1979 when Fuzzy Zoeller won the trophy.

Danny Willett Odds:

12/31/16: +6600
1/31/17: +6000
Current: +10250

Since his epic win a year ago, “One Hit Wonder” Willett has failed to play well. In fact, he’s played pathetic golf. Even at +10250, the Englishman is a waste of time! He will miss the cut!

Bubba Watson Odds:

12/31/16: +2000
1/31/17: +2500
Current: +2800

Two-time Masters winner is having trouble finding his form. Ever since he changed to the pink ball, he’s played poorly. Watson is a big question mark heading into this year’s event. He could play real well or miss the cut – neither would surprise me.

Dustin Johnson Odds:

12/31/16: +1050
1/31/17: +1075
2/31/17: +900
Current: +550

Now the No. 1 player on the planet, Johnson has won three straight events heading into the Masters and appears untouchable. His golf odds have gone down gradually and now he’s the clear cut favorite. His putting is always a concern and I think he will have to wait another year to claim his first Green Jacket.

Jason Day Odds:

12/31/16: +900
1/31/17: +950
Current: +1600

Day is questionable to even tee it up after receiving the news that his mom has cancer. His status is day-to-day. Even if he does tee it up, his mind may be elsewhere and though that’s understandable, it’s not a good thing. Stay Away from Mr. Day.

Justin Thomas Odds:

12/31/16:+8500
1/31/17: +2250
Current: +3730

After winning three times to start the year, Thomas has cooled off. His odds have moved drastically from +8500 all the way down to +2250. His current odds are back up to +3750 and that provides gamers with a little value. If Thomas can putt well early and get the confidence back he had in January, he could be in the mix on Sunday afternoon in Augusta, Georgia.
