MLB Odds to 2019 Win World Series

  • Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees are the current favorites to win the World Series in 2019 at +570 odds according to Bookmaker.eu.
  • Miami Marlins (+100000) and Baltimore Orioles (+90000) round out the list.

Bryce Harper and Manny Machado still haven’t signed with teams for the 2019 season, but that hasn’t stopped the oddsmakers from putting out their list of World Series favorites. The Boston Red Sox are the defending champions but they have not been instituted as the team to beat. That honor goes to their rivals, the New York Yankees, who added James Paxton to their starting rotation and should once again boast one of the scariest lineups in the majors.

The Red Sox are right on their heels, as are the Houston Astros. These three teams look a cut above the rest when it comes to talent, but all are in the American League so they would have to navigate past each other to win the championship.

Odds To Win World Series

The Yankees are currently being wagered on at +570. They have one of the best power-hitting duos in the major leagues in Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton, as well as a bunch of talent around them. The Red Sox boast Mookie Betts, J.D. Martinez and others as they come in at +570. Boston dominated throughout 2018 on its way to the title and should be right in the mix once again.

The Astros had another good season in 2018 but many of their stars didn’t quite live up to expectations. They should bounce back and at +687 are an intriguing choice. The Los Angeles Dodgers are the National League favorite as they sit at +755, followed by the Chicago Cubs at +1275. The Dodgers had Machado down the stretch last year while the Cubs were long rumored to make a run at Harper, but at this point neither seems likely to end up with these teams. If they do, it will increase their odds at a World Series ring.

The Cleveland Indians are listed at +1467 as they have one of the best pitching staffs in baseball. The St. Louis Cardinals are also at +1550 after acquiring star first baseman Paul Goldschmidt this offseason. The Philadelphia Phillies sit at +1150 and this is a good time to jump on those odds because Harper could very well end up signing there.

The Atlanta Braves and Washington Nationals both come in at +2250, followed by the Milwaukee Brewers and New York Mets at +2450. Those Mets’ odds might be the least appealing of any team as they are much too high.

The Oakland Athletics and Tampa Bay Rays always seem to stay competitive despite small payrolls and are listed with +4200 odds. The Colorado Rockies are coming in at +3300 odds followed by the Minnesota Twins at +4800. The Chicago White Sox are listed at +7000 but they are also rumored to be in the mix for Harper or Machado, which would be a nice boost.

The Los Angeles Angels are also at +5000, followed by the Cincinnati Reds at +6700 and the San Francisco Giants at +9500. Now we are getting into the longshots, as the Pittsburgh Pirates and San Diego Padres are listed at +10000, followed by the Arizona Diamondbacks at +14500 and the Seattle Mariners at +22500. The Texas Rangers are listed at +23500, the Kansas City Royals at +34000.

Rounding out the bottom of the barrel is the Baltimore Orioles, Detroit Tigers and Miami Marlins at +100000 apiece.

2019 MLB World Series Pick

Our pick: Chicago Cubs to win World Series at +1275 odds

The Yankees might be the biggest name but they should not be the favorites. The Red Sox and Astros are deserving to be the teams to beat. However, it is tough choosing an American League team because of all the competition. The Cubs are a good pick to bounce back this season and come away with the championship at favorable odds.
