NCAA Basketball Betting: ACC Tournament Odds and Predictions

  • Virginia (+150) and Duke (+170) and the two big favorites this year at BookMaker.eu
  • ACC Tournament will be held at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina from Tuesday, March 12th through Saturday, March 16th, 2019.

The ACC is the most powerful conference in the country, and its tournament should be a heavyweight battle until the end. Three of the best programs in the nation — Virginia, North Carolina and Duke — highlight the group but there is also a second tier of talented teams.

Virginia and North Carolina tied atop the ACC at the conclusion of the regular season and should be two of the top contenders in the tournament. Duke superstar forward Zion Williamson has resumed practicing, and if he can make his return, it will give the Blue Devils a huge boost and could make them the team to beat.

Virginia, North Carolina and Duke are all in contention for a No. 1 seed in March Madness and would love to win the ACC Tournament. There are numerous other tournament teams in the field who can solidify their case with a good showing.

ACC Tournament Betting Odds

Virginia (+150)

Virginia has put together a fantastic season and enters the conference tournament as the favorite to come away with the crown. The Cavaliers are 28-2 overall on the season with a 16-2 mark in the conference. Virginia has won eight in a row entering the tourney and has +150 odds to capture it.

Duke (+170)

Duke is not far behind. Williamson seems likely to be back and he is the best player in the country, so it will be a big help. The Blue Devils finished the regular season with a record of 26-5 overall and 14-4 in conference. However, several of those losses came when he was out, which is why Duke is coming in at +170 to win the ACC Tournament. Despite some issues recently, the Blue Devils may have the most talented team in the country when healthy.

North Carolina (+300)

The North Carolina Tar Heels finished the season on a seven-game winning streak, going 26-5 overall and 16-2 in the ACC. UNC swept Duke and has really played well of late. Luke Maye has a ton of experience and he will look to lead his team to the conference championship. If the Tar Heels win the ACC tourney, that should lock up a No. 1 seed in March Madness. North Carolina’s odds are listed at +300, so the oddsmakers are not quite putting it on the same plane as Duke and Virginia.

Florida State (+1200)

Those are the big three. However, there are some teams that will aim to get hot and make a nice run. Florida State is ranked No. 14 in the nation after finishing the regular season with a 25-6 overall mark and a record of 13-5 in the ACC. The Seminoles’ odds are still long at +1200 because the conference is so stacked.

Virginia Tech (+1500)

Virginia Tech is in a similar boat. The Hokies are ranked in the top-15 nationally and have a record of 23-7 overall and 12-6 in conference, but check in at +1500 odds to win the tournament. While Florida State and Virginia Tech are longshots, at least they are given a puncher’s chance.

Louisville, Syracuse, North Carolina and Clemson

Louisville is listed at +3000 odds, Syracuse at +4000 and North Carolina State and Clemson at +5000. The road is so tough that it’s hard to imagine anyone outside the elite trio of Virginia, Duke and North Carolina will win the ACC Tournament.

ACC Tournament Predictions

Our pick: Duke Blue Devils to win ACC Tournament at +170 odds

Some players may take some time to round back into form, but Williamson is such a freak that he will likely make an impact from the moment he steps back on the court. Virginia may be the slightest of favorites, but the Blue Devils are the more talented team. At these odds, Duke is the easy pick to win the ACC Tournament.
