Sports Betting: What To Bet On This Week (June 8 – 14)

With more states opening up for business and the end of martial law on the horizon, sports are making a comeback. We’re not there yet with the NBA, NHL and MLB outlining plans for a return with no dates set as of yet. The in-your-face combat sports have gotten the green light with Top Rank boxing returning to the ring for a couple of shows this week. With its inherent physical distancing golf seems like the best game to combat the cornavirus. The charity events are over and the PGA Tour picks up its season with the first tournament since March. Esports and simulated games will forever have a place in our hearts after getting us through some dark times. Below are a few of the numerous wagering options at online sportsbooks this week.

Golf

We got our fill of the made-for-TV charity events, now it’s time for the real thing. The PGA Tour makes its first post-coronavirus start with the Charles Schwab Challenge. A stellar field with 16 of the top 20 ranked players in world, including the top five, is expected to peg it up beginning Thursday at the Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas. OWGR No. 1 Rory McIlroy opened as the betting favorite, but it’s anybody’s tournament with so much talent on the course. Visit BookMaker.eu to check out the latest tournament and matchup odds and to place your wager.

NASCAR

Lapping the field in getting back to work, NASCAR has another mid-week race on Wednesday. The Blue-Emu Maximum Pain Relief 500 from Martinsville Speedway in Virginia is the seventh Cup Series race since the season rebooted in the middle of last month.  Kevin Harvick was favored to win Sunday’s QuikTrip 500 and he came through with his second victory in the last four races. BookMaker.eu has a complete list of odds.

Boxing

Top Rank enters the ring on Tuesday for the first time since the lockdown with a non-title super featherweight bout between undefeated Shakur Stevenson and Felix Caraballo. Stevenson, the current WBO champ, is a huge favorite at online sportsbooks. Thursday is another big boxing day at the MGM Grand with former WBO belt holder Jessie Magdaleno taking on Yenifel Vicente in a featherweight bout. Adam Lopez and Louie Coria duke it out for the vacant NABF featherweight title. Everything you need to place a wager on these fights is available at BookMaker.eu.

Soccer

Nearly three months after it was suspended, La Liga returns to the pitch Thursday with the Seville derby between Sevilla FC and Real Betis. Two more matches are slated for Friday with a busy weekend ahead. Germany’s Bundesliga was the first major European league to resume play having been on the pitch for a month. There’s only one match on this week’s schedule with TSG Hoffenheim taking on RB Leipzig on Friday. Don’t worry, though, top leagues from Denmark, Austria, Croatia, Hungary, Poland, Russia, Czech Republic, Norway, Romania, Serbia, Israel and South Korea have either started or will resume play soon. Check out schedules and odds for all upcoming matches at BookMaker.eu.

Baseball

While we wait for the boys of summer to work out their differences in the states, baseball is flourishing in South Korea. The Korean Baseball Organization regular season is in full swing supplying fans their fix on the diamond. Following Monday’s off day all teams return to action on Tuesday. NC Dinos have a 4-game lead over Doosan Bears in the standings with the teams opening a three-game set on Tuesday. All three games will be televised on ESPN. Taiwan’s CPBL has taken things a step further removing limits on the number of fans allowed inside stadiums for games. Betting lines and odds are available at BookMaker.eu.

Horse Racing

With the running of the Belmont Stakes just a few weeks away, things are heating up for the Triple Crown. It’s a different schedule than normal, but nothing is the same this year with the coronavirus pandemic playing havoc with sports. The ponies have been there throughout giving folks something to wager on. Why not continue with the biggest races of the year upcoming. A number of tracks will be open for business this week so pay a visit to the racebook at BookMaker.eu for odds and post times.

Esports

The BLAST Premier League is moving on to its spring final next week. There is plenty of action going on in the meantime, though. Counter Strike: Global Offensive is one of the most heavily bet games in esports with oddsmakers releasing odds for league’s competing this week. Dreamhack Masters, ESEA, the Winners League and the Hellcase Cup are a few taking place. Gamers are also competing this week in DOTA 2, Overwatch, League of Legends, Call of Duty, and of course soccer.
