This Week’s Sports Betting Schedule

Live sports were back in style over the weekend thanks to UFC. When one of the fighters tested positive for the coronavirus many felt the entire event would be canceled. Alas the fights went on giving sportsbooks and gamblers some real action to wager on. And guess what? We’ll do it again on Wednesday. UFC Fight Night is slated with a five-fight main card and six other prelim bouts. If it’s anything close to what took place on Saturday sports fans are in for a treat.

If you want to watch and wager on the computer generated versions of pro athletes don’t worry. There are plenty of simulated games and esports taking up space at your sportsbook of choice. Let’s see what else is being offered this week.

UFC

It didn’t go off without a hitch, but it did go off. UFC showed the rest of the sporting world that live action can take place in the coronavirus-stricken world. Now maybe others will follow the lead. Until then we’ll get more action inside the octagon on Wednesday with UFC Fight Night from the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, which has become the temporary home of UFC. Top-10 light heavyweights Anthony “Lionheart” Smith and Glover Teixeira square off in the main event with Smith listed as the -177 favorite at BookMaker.eu.

Both came up short in title fights against current champion Jon Jones and another crack at the belt is at stake. The co-main event pits heavyweights Ovince Saint Preux against Ben Rothwell. Two fighters who have yet to lose headline the six-card prelims. Omar Morales (9-0) takes on Gabriel Benitez in a lightweight bout and Hunter Azure (8-0) faces Brian “Boom” Kelleher in a matchup of featherweights. The prelims start at 6 p.m. ET with the main card getting underway at 9 p.m. ET. Place your wagers at BookMaker.eu and watch the action on ESPN+.

Golf

With the PGA Tour gearing up for a return a number of players are competing in this week’s Scottsdale Open. The three day tournament begins on Tuesday. Joel Dahmen opened as the betting favorite to win the 54-hole event, contested at the Talking Stick Golf Club. Other PGA Tour pros taking part include Kevin Streelman, Nate Lashley, J.J. Spaun and Kirk Triplett. Golf course operations in Arizona have been deemed an essential service and all necessary precautions are being taken. A complete list of odds is available at BookMaker.eu.
